Culture is a basic need !

Asian Culture House is a non – profit cultural and arts organization, and it’s established in 2015 in Sweden as a dynamic cultural platform to offering different activities. We also believe that culture is both a driver and enabler of sustainable development and that the explicit inclusion of targets and indicators for culture in the Sustainable Development Goals will enable transformative change.

Why are culture and the arts important? Most people who participate in art and cultural activities would say that these activities enhance the quality of their lives – they bring about personal enjoyment, enriching perspectives, intellectual stimulation, and opportunities for public involvement. But the arts and/or expressive culture also have broader impacts beyond the individual level. They can fuel community and economic development.

Our team believes that couture is a basic need and Asian Culture House is working and supporting artists, critical thinkers and cultural organisations in spaces where freedom of cultural expression is restricted by conflict, poverty, repression, marginalisation or taboos.

Annually, we Awards to individuals for their outstanding achievements in the field of culture and development.

AKH also organizes film festival events (Cinematheque), live music shows, story and poetry evenings for young writers and poets and everyone is most welcome to attend and spare a few hours for a good cause.

Among many other initiatives, this organization promotes: citizen journalism and social media to enhance capacity of local artists, civil and cultural associations as well as creating an informal atmosphere for everyone particularly for intellectuals, students, researchers, artists, poets, bloggers, journalists and many others.
